I just need a personnel time clock, not all your features, can I turn them off?

Sure, you do not have to track jobs/projects, enter reasons, comments or jobsite data. We offer a quick 3 stroke clock in without the mouse, very easy.

Can I correct clock in / out errors or add missed time to personnel timecards?

Sure, All time data in the personnel files is changeable for the current period. Go to the List menu above the tool bar, then personnel.

We need to track personnel at a remote site with no computer, can this be done?

The latest version of TimeLegal timeclock software incorporates Mobil clock in and out on a PDA or hand held computer / computer phone such as a Blackberry. Personnel information is uploaded to this device, and then entered time, Jobs and comments can be downloaded to the TimeLegal server daily or weekly. 

How about feedback from personnel how do you track this?

TimeLegal employee timeclock software has the ability to link user defined reasons and optionally comments with clock in and out. Reports can then be run to display personnel clock reasons and comments. When linked with projects and jobs, multiple personnel can be tracked on the same jobs, and accurate job labor costs shown.  Justification for overtime can easily be displayed too, with up to a paragraph of comments. 

What are periods and why close them?

Periods can be defined as weekly, semi-weekly, bi-monthly or monthly periods when your organizations file is setup. To comply with federal and state regulations personnel hours must be tracked by the day facilitating overtime calculations. Defined periods can then be closed and new ones started, this process facilitates easy reporting of time and creates legal, verifiable, confirmation of time worked by personnel.

I use Excel spreadsheets to work with personnel files. Does TimeLegal export this type of file?

From the file menu choose Export menu. There are several exportable reports there. Exports can be in Microsoft Excel format or in .CSV data files. These files can be read by many popular bookkeeping and business management software. We can also Import files data.

I have a lot of people to clock in and out in a short time, how many people per minute can I process?

TimeLegal now supports ID Badge, Bar code and other login/out methods. Up to 30 per minute may be clocked in/out. Optionally you may choose a Project or Job to associate time with, and Reason for Clock in out for detail reporting later.

I wish to improve employee attendance, can TimeLegal do this?

TimeLegal can be set to give Grace rounding up or down in increments form 5 to 20 minutes of scheduled clock in time. Supervisor clock in approval can also be required with reasons. Printouts can then easily point out problem personnel for review or release.

Our company "blows" our payroll budget frequently, can you help?

You bet, TimeLegal can identify personnel who are close to, or in overtime for the week. Names turn Yellow for single OT, and Red for Double OT, making Identification easy. Period time totals are also displayed.

Scheduling is a nightmare for us, is your scheduler easy to use?

First you establish shifts, they can contain as many time "elements' as desired (6 to 9am, 12 to 2pm, 5 to 9pm, ect). Then personnel can be assigned to these shifts. personal, department, location and company schedules can then be printed out for easy reference.

We have 3 locations, and wish to do central scheduling and job tracking can you help?

TimeLegal runs on the powerful Microsoft MSDE SQL server. This Database "Engine" allows remote login and tracking of jobs, projects, personnel time, and much more for up to 25 linked computers. Up to 50 or 100 computers offices can be linked using MSDE's big brother, the powerful Microsoft SQL server engine.

We need some special control reports, how do you do this?

TimeLegal uses a very powerful reporting engine similar to Crystal Reports, allowing access to all tables and fields in your database, this engine is included. If you lack report programming experience, our expert programming staff can create just what you want for a small charge.

We have no computer experience, do you offer support?
